STEP 1: Request Advice

Send us an email regarding your car search. Be sure to include the following:

--What you drive now--

--Why you are buying a new car--

--What you are looking to buy--

--How much you plan to spend--

--When you are looking to buy--

--Your zip code--

Be as specific as you can, but expect the first reply you receive to ask for you to elaborate on some what you've already said.

Also, if you do not want the details of your car search to be shared with anyone, please specify that. (In no event will your email address be shared.)

STEP 2: Get Your Answer

Once you've enlisted IFCAR's help in your car search, you will begin a dialogue with an expert who will ask you further questions, run car ideas by you, and use all of the information provided to give you a list of cars for you to evaluate.

STEP 3: Test Drive

We narrow down the choices on the market to a few cars for you to look at, but you still have to give each a detailed evaluation to see how it meets your personal wants and needs in specific subjective areas. Will your car seat fit in the back? Do you find the seat comfortable? Does it have enough power?

After you've test driven, you may or may not be ready to make an immediate decision. Unless you have a time constraint (you need a car immediately or the car you want may go fast) it is probably best to carefully weigh what you consider the pros and cons of each vehicle. We'll be happy to help with your post-drive analysis.

STEP 4: Buy

Once you've picked out which car is best for you, buy it. Shop around for the best price, and research the value of your trade-in (if applicable) to be sure that you don't lose money there.

STEP 5: Keep Us Updated

IFCAR has (hopefully) helped you find your best car, so don't forget us. Let us tell your story, and whether or not you are satisfied with your new car. (If you wish to keep it private, we understand.) Submit photos, anecdotes, and a personal review. We'd love to hear from you.
