7th Place: Nissan Titan

The Titan is a huge, wide pickup truck with sound mechanicals that excels at providing well-priced utility. Two front-seat occupants are very comfortable on the large, high seats, and a third adult can fit between them (though straddling a large drivetrain hump), and while rear legroom is a bit lacking and the rear bench sits passengers too upright, it is wide and high enough to offer sufficient comfort there as well. And cargo fits well in and outside of the cab.

But it’s still a truck, and not a fantastic option for those who don’t need a truck. It’s a rather good truck, especially for the price, with its relative interior comfort and surprising power, and good ride and handling for its size. But it’s cumbersome to drive in tight quarters, and returns dismal gas mileage, and comes sparsely equipped in the base form that fits the price criteria.
